Barça Ready for Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
