British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the global fight fans offered sympathy for the star in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
