Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage depicts the individual from Australia pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was set to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared startled when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.
